Data We Collect
We collect the following information to provide and improve our service:
- Account Information — Email address, display name, and profile photo when you create an account.
- Health & Body Data — Height, weight, age, gender, and body measurements you enter to track your growth journey.
- Activity Data — Workout completions, streak counts, XP earned, and daily challenge progress.
- Device Information — Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and crash reporting.
Apple HealthKit
With your permission, Taller integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write:
- Height measurements
- Sleep analysis data
- Step count and active energy
- Workout sessions
HealthKit data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for purposes unrelated to improving your health experience. This data stays on your device and in your iCloud account.
How We Use Your Data
- Personalization — Creating your custom growth plan, workout recommendations, and nutrition guidance.
- Progress Tracking — Displaying your height trends, streak history, and achievement progress.
- Analytics — Understanding how features are used to improve the app (via PostHog). Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
- Notifications — Sending workout reminders, streak alerts, and daily motivation (only with your permission).
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat — Subscription management. Processes payment data securely through Apple's App Store.
- PostHog — Privacy-focused product analytics. No personal data is shared with advertisers.
- Firebase — Authentication, cloud storage, and crash reporting.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — Secure authentication providers.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
Data Retention
- Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
- Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months in aggregated form.
- HealthKit data follows Apple's retention policies and is controlled by you.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored by Taller.
- Correct inaccurate data through your profile settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Opt out of analytics tracking in Settings.
- Withdraw HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
Taller is designed for users aged 12 and older. For users under 18, we recommend parental guidance. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 12.
